Japanese design

Japan is famous for its package design. Japanese graphic designers have the ability to make everything so declicous and desirable. I also like the clean and simple feeling of lots of Japanese designs.

Coffee shops-Taiwan

I like to go to SOHO and Greenwith Village to discover cute coffee shops that have unique interior design and decoration. When I visited Taiwan this time, I also went to this kind of coffee shops there. Here are the pictures.

7-11-Taiwan

7-11 in Taiwan is very different than it is in the US. I can hardly see a 7-11 in the US, but it can be seen at every corner in Taiwan. Besides, in the US, the atmosphere is kind of depressing, selling ugly-packaged ready-to- eat food and bad coffee. However, in Taiwan, every snack and beverage is well-packaged. It also sells various products, like stationery, small toy, cosmetics, and so on. The coffee there is fantastic. You can order original latte, green tea flavored latte, cappuccino and americano. There are also hot food, like bums and boiled eggs. Moreover, you can even pay some of your bills in there. It is just very nice to have it around.

Muji-Taiwan

I just recently came back from Taipei, Taiwan. I took some pictures of the stores that both open in Taiwan and the US, such as Muji and 7-11 (successful branding), for comparison.

Muji only has stores open in New York City for its North America market. I am lucky enough to be able to visit them from time to time.

The tone od Muji in both the US and Taiwan is pretty similar: clean, using dark red, beige and white as main colors. The difference is there are more products sold in Taiwan, for example, snacks, beverages, more choices of bags, apparel and accessories, furniture and so on.
